One Saturday after visitation, my family and I were headed to get some food. A for sale sign on the busiest road in town caught our eye, so we pulled in. Unfortunately, we realized it was a for lease sign, so I drove to the back of the parking lot to turn around. To our surprise, there was another building for sale there that we had never seen. It was almost 8000 sq. ft.  I called and the price was $200,000 – a gift. However, the realtor soon called and said it had been on the market for one day and sold instantly – the day before. We missed it by 24 hours.

I couldn’t get it out of my mind, though. Sunday morning, I showed it to the church members, and we prayed. The realtor said the buyer had rejected other offers to buy his contract and would likely not even talk to us. Well, he did. He called five minutes later. Since he was a Christian himself, he was willing to consider helping us. Long story short, he is helping us remodel the building and has given us the first option to purchase. Praise the Lord!

This is a large step of faith for our still small church plant, but every time we considered backing out God gave us another push forward. The English church (where we meet now) waived our rent. The owner gave six months’ rent free. Experienced church builders came to help. Use of an excavator, dump truck, power washer, and power tools has been donated. Watching it all has been an incredible faith-building experience.

God has added to our growing church plant. Iglesia Bautista Colonial (now Iglesia Bautista Fe Viva) has been through some hard experiences the past couple years, but these young believers remained faithful through trials that could have taken out even seasoned believers – and now God is blessing their faithfulness. In May, five people were saved and are now being discipled. Another young man struggling with addictions got his life back together and just returned from Calvary in Eufaula, OK.

We ask you to consider helping us. Our members are giving faithfully, I work a full time job, and we have done several fundraisers, but we are few. $50,000 is needed for repairs, and $100,000 for a down payment. Please help us meet the need of the Spanish speaking people of Northwest Arkansas.

Un sábado después de visitación, mi familia y yo íbamos a buscar algo de comida cuando vimos un letrero de venta en la carretera más transitada de la ciudad nos llamó la atención, así que nos detuvimos a verlo. Desafortunadamente, nos dimos cuenta de que era un letrero de alquiler, así que conduje hasta la parte trasera del estacionamiento para dar la vuelta. Para nuestra sorpresa, había otro edificio en venta que nunca habíamos visto. Tenía casi 8000 pies cuadrados. Llamé y estaba de venta por $200,000, un regalo. Como él mismo era cristiano, estaba dispuesto a considerar ayudarnos. en resumen, Pudimos llegar a un acuerdo con el y nos está ayudando a remodelar el edificio y nos ha dado la primera opción de compra. ¡Alabado sea el Señor!
Este es un gran paso de fe para nuestra iglesia aún pequeña, pero cada vez que consideramos dar un paso atrás, Dios nos dio otro impulso. La iglesia americana (donde nos reunimos ahora) dejo de cobrarnos renta. Encima de eso, El propietario que nos esta facilitando el edificio nos dio seis meses de alquiler gratis. Constructores de iglesias con experiencia vinieron a ayudar. Se ha donado el uso de una excavadora, camión de volteo, lavadora a presión y herramientas eléctricas. Verlo todo ha sido una experiencia increíble de construcción de fe.
Dios esta haciendo una obra especial en Rogers, Arkansas. La Iglesia Bautista Colonial (ahora Iglesia Bautista Fe Viva) ha pasado por algunas experiencias difíciles en los últimos dos años, pero estos jóvenes creyentes se mantuvieron fieles a través de pruebas que podrían haber vencido incluso a los creyentes maduros, y ahora Dios está bendiciendo su fidelidad. En mayo, cinco personas se salvaron y ahora están siendo discipuladas.
